The Scottish Curling Trust is a charity set up to support the development of curling with a focus protecting and sharing the heritage of curling in Scotland while working to develop that heritage through initiatives aimed at inclusivity, young people and diversity.
The Trust is now offering the opportunity for supporters to become Friend of the Scottish Curling Trust.
By becoming a a Friend of the Scottish Curling Trust you will be helping to support the development of curling and protect the heritage of curling in Scotland.
We are :
- Helping to grow inclusive curling
- Developing junior curling
- Creating a virtual museum to share our curling heritage and increase access to our Collection of over 4000 curling artefacts
The SCT is solely dependant on donations and sponsorship to fund our work.
By becoming a friend your yearly subscription of £30.00 will be used to help support SCT to fund the following projects this year:
| The Under 14 Pathway, this highly successful project, prepares 16 young curlers under 14 yrs old for World level events | £8,500 |
| Cost to house our collection and operate our Virtual Museum | £15,000 |
| Expanding workshops for inclusive curling education for coaches | £935 |
| Developing a pathway for Special Olympics 2029 | £6,000 |
| Following the success of curling at the Invictus Games 2025 engage Veterans in curling | £1,485 |
| Try Inclusive curling sessions | £1,155 |
| Umpire Educator Course | £2,512 part funded by the Anne Malcolm Fund |
| Game Umpire Course | £850 funded by Anne Malcolm Fund |
| Advanced Umpire Course | £598 funded by Anne Malcolm Fund |
| Umpire Mentoring | £300 |
| Ice Technician Course | £598 |
| U17 Slams | £55 to each unsupported team per event funded by the Willie Jamieson Junior Curling Fund |
| Wheelchair Curling International 2025 | £500 sponsorship |

To become a friend the annual subscription is £30.00. You will receive three newsletters a year to update you on our work and what you are helping to fund. There will also be opportunities for Friends to visit our Collection. View the application form below:
